LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF JOHN RANSBOTTOM, 1900
I, John Ransbottom Sr., of the Township of Washington,
County of Mercer, and State of Ohio, being of lawful age, and being of sound and
disposing mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills made by me.
First: I will that-all my just debts and funeral expenses shall be paid
out of my Estate as soon after my decease as shall be found convenient.
Second: I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife in lieu of her
dower the South half 5 of the East half 1/2, of the South East quarter 1/4 Section
Twenty six (26), town six (6) South of Range one (1) East Mercer County, Ohio upon
which I now reside during her natural life or as long as she remains my widow and
at her death or marriage I bequeath said real estate to my daughter Martha Jane
also all household goods also all stalk and provisions that may be thereon at the
time of my decease, Except the farming implements and farm machines which I reserve
for my son Arthur.
Item Third: I give and devise to my son Arthur the north half 1/2 of
the East half 1/2, of the South east quarter 1/4, of Section twenty six (26) Town six
(6) South of Range one (1) East Mercer County, Ohio also the farming implements
and machinery that may be thereon at the time of my decease.
Item Four: I give and dvise to my son Monroe and his heirs forever
the West half 4 of the South half 2, of the North half 5, of the South west quarter
of Section Twenty four 24, Town six (6), South of range one East Mercer County Ohio
except one rod off of the north side of the aforesaid tract of twenty acres which
is reserved for road or drive way leading to the East half of said tract.
Item Five: I give and bequeath to my son John Ransbottom the North half of the East half of the North East 1/4 of the South East 1/4 of section twenty
four 24 town six South of range one East Mercer County, Ohio the same is intended
to convey 10 acres of land.
Item Six: I give and bequeath to my daughter Annie Crier the South
half of the N. E. 1/4 of the South East 1/4 of section twenty four Town six 6 South
of Range one east Mercer County Ohio the same is also intended to convey 10 acres
of land.
Item Seven: I give and bequeath to my son Wesley and his heirs
forever the North half 1/2, of the south East quarter 1/4, of N. E. 1/4 Section ten (10)
Town six, (6) South of Range one East Mercer County Ohio.
Item Eight: I do hereby appoint my beloved wife Guardian of my
Daughter Martha Jane Ransbottom until she arrives at the age of 18 years.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand at Wabash, Ohio
this fourth day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand, Nine Hundred.

The foregoing Instrument was signed by the said John Ransbottom in
our presence and by him published and declared as and for his Last Will and Testament, and we have hereunto subscribed our Names as Attesting Witnesses at his request, and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, this 4th day of May
